ABOUT ME

Hello! I am clinical psychologist Dilek Akbaş.

After completing my undergraduate education at Yeditepe University, Department of Psychology, I started the Clinical Psychology master's program at Bahçeşehir University.

During my education, I was particularly interested in areas such as psychoanalysis, psychoanalytic psychotherapies, childhood traumatic experiences such as emotional neglect and sexual abuse, repetitive relationship patterns, borderline personality organization, mentalization and coping strategies. I received the title of clinical psychologist with my thesis titled "The relationship between partner violence and childhood traumatic experiences, psychological mentality and coping strategies".

My areas of study include trauma, relational problems, separation and loss experiences, depression, anxiety disorder, emotional regulation difficulties, borderline, and narcissism.
